Mitsui Chemicals Group: Maintaining operational in Singapore and supporting business partners

Mitsui Chemicals Asia Pacific (MCAP) – Since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak in Singapore, Mitsui Chemicals Group have been putting in strict regulations internally to ensure that all affiliates in Singapore stay operational to support business partners, especially during the past few months when the virus transmission peaked. Our production lines remained operational, while safe measures were put in place.

 

With the announcement by the Multi-Ministry Task Force on entering Phase 1 after circuit breaker starting from 2 June 2020, a set of comprehensive Safe Management Measures is put in place for all our sites and premises to further enhance the health and safety for our staff, who are performing essential work onsite.

 

At respective production sites and offices, customized measures are also added on to further ensure all our staff stays healthy without compromising local safety requirements. By keeping our staff healthy and safe with strict rules, we can ensure our production sites continue to stay operational throughout this pandemic period.

 

Some key Safe Management Measures implemented onsite include:

>> Staff who can telecommute will continue to work from home.

>> Reducing physical interactions and ensuring safe distancing at all times.

>> Supporting contact tracing.

     - Mandatory use of SafeEntry system when entering and leaving premise.

     - Mandatory use of TraceTogether for staff who require to work onsite.

>> Implementing strict health and hygiene protocols at all our premises.

 

All Mitsui Chemicals Group affiliates in Singapore will continue to ensure our staff stays healthy and safe, so as to serve all our business partners through this challenging times.

 

Cross-company COVID-19 Task Force

 

Since the early stage of the COVID-19 outbreak, a cross-company COVID-19 Task Force, comprising of 10 members from six affiliates in Singapore, was setup to implement measures to ensure that our people continues to stay operate safely.

 

As Mitsui Chemicals Group in Singapore is one of the essential services in the chemical industry, safeguarding the health and safety of our workers is one of our priorities so as not to impede our production and delivery.
