Consolidation of Purchasing & Logistics functions in Mitsui Chemicals Group of companies in Singapore

Mitsui Chemicals Asia Pacific (MCAP) – The Mitsui Chemicals Group in Singapore had reviewed the existing corporate structure. With the aim to further enhance the work efficiencies and productivities for the group in the long run, the management has jointly decided to consolidate the Purchasing and Logistics functions from Mitsui Phenols Singapore (MPS) and Mitsui Elastomers Singapore (MELS) under Mitsui Chemicals Asia Pacific Ltd (MCAP). This corporate structural change will take effect from 1 April 2022.
A new Purchasing Division will be established under MCAP. The current purchasing function from MPS and the procurement and admin functions that has been supporting MELS and Prime Evolue Singapore (EVLS) will be transferred and consolidated under the new MCAP Purchasing Division. Mr Fred Yau, General Manager for MCAP Corporate Planning Office, will be appointed as General Manager for MCAP Purchasing Division concurrently.
Logistics function from MPS will be transferred and consolidated under the current MCAP Logistics Division, headed by Mr Ang Kian Tun, General Manager, MCAP Logistics Division.
All employees currently employed by the respective company for the above mentioned functions will be transferred to MCAP Purchasing Division and MCAP Logistics Division respectively from the effective date.
